Firm Overview

  • Founded in Salt Lake City in 1922 by Soren N. Jacobsen

  • Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer: Lonnie M. Bullard (far left); President and Chief Operating Officer: Douglas C. Welling

  • One-hundred-percent, employee-owned company as an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)

  • Home office located in Salt Lake City, Utah, near the 3200 West interchange with 2100 South; Southern Utah office in St. George

  • Currently 120 employees based in our home office/warehouse/equipment yard; nearly 450 site-based project managers, superintendents, engineers, foremen, clerks and craft workers

  • Consistently ranked as one of the nation's top contractors

  • Recognized by ENR as one of the nation's Top 100 Green Contractors

 

Our Mission Statement

Our primary purpose is to deploy our human and financial resources as a highly responsive, competitive general contractor consistently providing timely and exceptional preconstruction, construction, construction management and design/build services to honorable and financially sound clients in ways which both favorably differentiate us from our competitors and also produce a reasonable profit. The services and the projects we deliver are of high quality to preserve and extend a respected reputation. We assist selected, worthwhile charitable and civic ventures in the communities in which we work.
