Jacobsen completes power team vying for Utah Data Center

Press Release | March 3, 2010

Jacobsen has partnered with Turner Construction of New York City and Kiewit Building Group of Omaha in its quest to clinch the Utah Data Center project at Camp Williams.

"We're thrilled to join forces with Turner Construction and Kiewit Building Group," said Jacobsen President Doug Welling. "The UDC project has been a top priority for us for a long time; therefore, we took the teaming process very seriously. From day one our goal was to align ourselves with national partners who not only brought the wealth of experience this project requires, but who also shared our commitment to the project. We've found that combination with Turner and Kiewit, and we're anxious to move forward in the process."

TurnerKiewitJacobsen is a formidable team; each company brings an impressive portfolio and powerful leadership to the joint venture, making it one of the most promising teams vying for the $1 billion construction project for the NSA. The team filed its request for proposal on Feb. 24 and is awaiting the short list, which is expected to be revealed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers later this month.
