Jacobsen Execs Claim Top Industry Honors

Press Release | February 5, 2010

Jacobsen CEO Lonnie Bullard and Executive Vice President Terry Wright walked away with the two highest individual awards given by the Associated General Contractors at its annual convention, held January 28-30 in Salt Lake City.

Wright received the AGC's Service to the Industry Award, which recognizes a construction professional's outstanding individual efforts to fortify and strenghten the industry. As the son of industry icon Harvey Wright and the younger brother of accomplished project manager John Wright, construction has always been part of Terry's life. "My dad used to bring me to construction sites when I was little," Wright recalled, "and he'd always tell me, to put my hand in his back pocket, so that I wouldn't wander off... and he told me to always pay attention to what's going on around me." As an accomplished craftsman, consultant and 37-year industry leader in his own right, Wright obviously took his dad's advice to heart.

Bullard was presented with the prestigous Eric W. Ryberg Award, which is an oustanding industry achievement award and the highest honor bestowed on an individual by the AGC. With nearly 30 years of industry expertise, Bullard joined Jacobsen in 1996 and, under his leadership, has been instrumental in strengthening the company's reputation as a premier builder and one of the top builders in the United States.

As Bullard accepted the award, he made it clear that Jacobsen’s management partners and employees are of the highest value to him, and were equally deserving of the honor. "I'm grateful to accept this award not on my own behalf, but on behalf of Jacobsen Construction and all the great things our entire company is doing to make this industry the best it can be," he said.
