Jacobsen Project Receives Utah Heritage Award

Press Release | April 27, 2010

The St. George Town Square, a Jacobsen restoration project, has won top honors from the Utah Heritage Foundation in its 2010 Utah Heritage Awards for Restoration and Renovation.

The annual competition recognizes projects, organizations and individuals that exemplify excellence in historic preservation. "The winners reflect the variety of projects throughout Utah which are being undertaken and beautifully executed to showcase our past while being preserved for the future," says Kirk Huffaker, executive director of the UHF.

"This was a tremendous project all the way around," said JCC Project Executive Steve Nelson. "The City of St. George was a fantastic client to work with, and it was truly an honor to be part of the revitalization of historic downtown St. George. The community has an exceptional gathering place, and we were delighted to help make that vision a reality."

Awards will be presented by the UHF April 30.
