Jacobsen Receives Platinum Safety Award
Press Release | March 15, 2010
Jacobsen has once again been awarded a Platinum-level safety award from the Associated General Contractors of Utah. The Platinum award, the highest level given by the AGC, honors construction firms who are 25% below the combined averages of the OSHA Total Recordable and Lost Time Incidence Rates, and the average (1.0) EMR.
"Our low EMR and Lost Time Incidence Rates, which have been improved significantly over the past several months, went a long way toward enabling us to achieve this award," expalined Corporate Safety Director John Hymel. "From project executives to craft workers, safety is a united effort. We've won this award several times, which attests to our commitment to a safe work environment. I applaud the efforts of our Safety Department, as well as all Jacobsen project teams, for continuing to make safety a top priority."
Jacobsen will formally accept its award at the AGC's Safety Conference on March 26.
