PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Built in 1906 and listed on the National Register in 1978, the five-story building was neglected and sat vacant for 50 years. It lacked a roof and suffered serious fire and water damage to the heavy timber decking and beams.
The project scope included a seismic upgrade, stripping the interior and restoring the building. The structure was renovated by using vertical wall coring to strengthen the brick masonry walls. Four-inch diameter holes were drilled 60 feet vertically from the parapet down into the rubble stone foundation.
