PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Gunnison Valley Hospital is a short-term, acute care hospital owned and operated by Sanpete County. This expansion met the growing healthcare demands in the area and increased the size of the hospital by 70 percent.

The expansion included a new operating room, three recovery areas, three examination/treatment rooms, nurse's station, patient waiting area and six new private patient rooms. An atrium preserves the existing views in the Labor and Delivery rooms. The existing operating room, LDRP room and “Clean and Soil” areas were also remodeled.
