PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Work on this expansion and remodel project included: An extension of the existing automated storage system structure and racking, an extension of the Daifuku rail and software system into the new addition, installation of a new roof and insulation, installation of storage racks, phased reorientation/relocation of the existing warehouse pallet racking, installation of a new central building management system, and installation of a new Storage Transfer Vehicle, the first ever in Utah. Sequencing of the racking installation—which included driving 76 piles 98 feet into the ground to secure the system—had to be done in stages, so that the warehouse could remain operational throughout the project.
