PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This 480-stall parking structure, built in tandem with WCF’s new corporate office tower, is post-tensioned and features stained concrete floors, with terrazzo insets, stainless steel dividing stripes and a high-quality, hand-sweat finish. Pervious concrete paving was used for the parking stalls, which eliminated costly storm sewer systems. It also created parking surfaces that require less salting and, ultimately, reduce the number of slip-and-fall injuries—an issue that this owner, in particular, is especially sensitive to. Many sustainable innovations were incorporated into this parking structure in an effort to achieve a LEED Gold certification on the entire WCF project.
