Utah State Capitol Base Isolation & Historic Restoration

As one of Utah’s most prominent landmarks, the Capitol has been home to the State of Utah’s government for nearly a century. This massive renovation included seismic base isolation, preservation and restoration of this premiere granite structure. The electrical, air conditioning, heating and lighting systems were also updated to current standards. Original artifacts and architectural features—including paintings, murals, statues and the marble staircase—were also restored and repaired.
