SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah — One Burton, a mixed-use development with 180 residential units and 7,000 square feet of retail space that is expected to anchor a new downtown core in South Salt Lake, celebrated its first residents in the summer of 2025 after more than two years of construction.
One Burton, built by Jacobsen Construction and designed by VCBO Architecture for New York-based Abstract Development Group, was heralded in Utah Construction & Design’s latest cover story as a ‘bold statement in Utah’s multi-family market.”
“The shape and style of the building is unlike anything that’s been built in the multi-family arena in recent memory in Utah,” Brad Fullmer writes for the magazine.
The feature article includes insights from KC Burns, Jacobsen’s project manager at One Burton, who shared that the building’s unique design and engineering elements “added depth and purposeful complexity” to a degree not seen in most multi-family housing developments.
