SALT LAKE CITY — Jacobsen Construction Company has been named the 2023 Utah Best of State winner in the Commercial Construction and General Contractor categories.
These wins mark the ninth and tenth time in the past ten years that Jacobsen has won a Best of State award, and the first time the company has won in both categories it’s entered in the same year.
Utah Best of State awards are determined by independent judges from throughout Utah, based on the criteria of achievement in the field of endeavor, innovation and creativity, and contribution to improving the quality of life in Utah. Jacobsen completed several notable projects in the Beehive State over the past year, including the Liberty Sky Tower (Salt Lake City), Alta Vue Apartments (Sandy), Saratoga Springs Utah Temple (Saratoga Springs), Primary Children’s Hospital Inpatient Remodel & Expansion (Salt Lake City), Utah State University Canyon Crest Suites (Logan) and Utah Tech University Greater Zion Stadium West Side Expansion (St. George).
Jacobsen also recently marked its 100th year, beginning with a legacy-honoring celebration event for all employees. The centennial milestone was also observed by holding other special events and service opportunities throughout the year, giving employees the chance to work together to give back to Utah communities and learn more about the generations of builders who came before them.
A Utah Best of State awards ceremony for all winners will be held May 24 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City.
