SALT LAKE CITY — For the eighth time in nine years, Jacobsen Construction Company has been honored by the Utah Best of State awards program for excellence in construction.
Jacobsen was named by judges as the Best General Contractor in recognition of the firm’s eventful and successful 2021 in which employees moved into a new headquarters, adopted a new company brand, secured several transformative projects and completed several others. Several company leaders were also promoted or had their promotions announced in 2021, including three chief officers and six vice presidents. Jacobsen’s award is formally part of the 2022 Best of State awards, although criteria for awardees is based on 2021 achievements.
“Jacobsen concluded the year 2021 with record revenues, a new building, a refresh of our brand, and a work backlog to launch us forward for the next several years,” President and CEO Gary Ellis said in Jacobsen’s 2021 year-end report to employees. “We are grateful for those that came before us and we look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead to make a significant impact on our communities.”
A Best of State awards ceremony for all winners will be held May 26 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City.
