Jacobsen Construction volunteers assembled gaga ball pits at Midvale Elementary School on Wednesday, Oct. 4, in Midvale, Utah, for the company’s annual Day of Caring in partnership with United Way of Salt Lake. Gaga ball is a growingly popular playground sport for children during school recess, and its addition to Midvale Elementary was met with an outpouring of excitement from students.
Volunteers also painted and prepped the pits’ wood panels a week prior to their installation. Jacobsen teams up with United Way every year to give meaningful service as a way of showing thanks to communities where the company’s people live, work and raise their families. While the specific service opportunity varies from year to year, Jacobsen employees look forward to the Day of Caring each Fall as a way give back and make memories together.
